I haven't written a blog post in a while! I've been busy with school and
stuff. I've got a state exam in June and all the teachers gave so much homework
over the Easter break! Anyway, I was at a concert on Friday the 29th of March and it was
amazing! It was at Kilbeggan race course and it was outdoor. Maybe the outdoor
part wasn't the best idea because it was absolutely freezing! My friends
and I was got to the front row at the stage which was great. We
waited for about 2 hours until the music started. Fresh Ré were on first! They
are Irish and they are teenagers except for one guy. They were quite good and
one of the guys started singing to me and my friend. It was quite awkward but
funny.

I'd just like to say, this isn't my picture

Then, Pat Byrne came on. He won The Voice of Ireland in 2012. He came onto the stage and was like "everyone move back. There's a girl at the front who is being squashed". That girl was me. Pat sang loads of
After Pat, Ryan O' Shaughnessy came on. I had high hopes for Ryan but he disappointed me a little. He sang amazingly well but I kind of found him a little boring. I know none of his song are lively but it just seemed to be so slow. He is beautiful though.
Then, a woman came out called Kayleigh. Kayleigh's introduction was about how bullying made her blind. This made me feel really sad and angry how some people would torment a person and make them lose one of their senses. She is an amazing singer.
Na Fianna were on then. I hadn't really expected much from these because they play Irish music but they were quite good. I'm not a big fan of Irish music but they made it sound good. The people in the band were great craic.

Again, not my picture

After them, Hogan came on. I had heard people saying how good they were but I had never seen them myself. I actually love them now! The lead singer is actually hilarious. His dance moves on stage are amazing. He told us all about the band and even told us that they call the guitarist "Kinder Bueno". I'm not sure why though. Hogan really got everybody moving and tried to get us warm.

Then Royseven came on. I had heard a few of their popular songs on the radio before and I really liked them. When they came out, I was quite surprised because I didn't realise there was so many members. Of course though, my favourite member was Paul Walsh, the lead singer. He is just fab! He was just going crazy dancing on the stage and it actually warmed me up a bit. Paul then jumped off the stage and came to the barrier. He went almost right beside me so I stretched my hand out to reach him. I "accidentally" touched his ass. I then put my hand up and he high-fived me! This was a cool moment for me! Then the next day, he followed me on twitter and we've tweeted each other a few times! I'm getting down with the celebrities. Well I like to think so.

Sorry for the bad picture! He moved so much |
After Royseven, the act I had came to see were on. District 3! I thought they were absolutely fab! They were only on for a short time though which was a bummer. They looked amazing though as usual. My favourite is Dan and he looked so beautiful! He was wearing a beanie, a jumper and army trousers! He even did a backflip during one of the songs. I nearly died when he did.

Last but not least, The Original Rude Boys came on. At that stage, it was 10 o' clock at night and I felt like I was going to collapse or something. My friends and I had been standing there for almost 8 hours and we were freezing. We had been in the same spot that whole time and people from the back were pushing and we were getting squished into the barrier. We eventually just left our spot and listening to the Original Rude Boys from a distance. They were really good and we sat on a bench eating chips while listening.
All in all, it was a great day except for the cold and the people pushing. I also got Pat Byrne to follow me the next day! Still waiting for District 3 to follow me though!
